Who we are
TrueVine is made by Rayform LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the TrueVine app for iPhone and Android and this website. Rayform LLC is responsible for your personal information when you use them.
Without an account
You can use TrueVine without signing up. Then everything you add, like journal entries, prayers, check-ins, saved verses, quiet hours and settings, stays on your phone. We don't receive it.
Even without an account, two things reach a server:
- Subscriptions: our subscription provider, RevenueCat, gives your phone a random ID so it can tell whether you have TrueVine Pro. It receives that ID and your purchase status, never your name or payment details.
- New content: the app downloads new verses, prayers and reflections from our server. Nothing about you is sent with that request beyond what every internet connection carries (see Technical information below).
What we collect
If you create an account, we store what's needed to keep your things safe and on your other phones:
- Account details: your email address, your first name if you share it, and how you sign in (email and password, Apple or Google). Passwords are stored only as a secure hash. We never see your Apple or Google password.
- What you add in the app: journal entries and voice notes, prayers, daily check-ins, saved verses, reading plan progress, custom routines, your rhythm history, quiet hours and the apps you chose to rest from, your settings and your onboarding answers.
- Subscription status: your plan, its renewal and trial dates and whether it's active, from RevenueCat. Never your payment details.
- App events: simple events like finishing a morning rhythm or opening the plans screen, with a few small details such as which plan was shown. They never include what you write, say or pray. Without an account they stay on your phone.
- Technical information: like any online service, our servers and providers receive your IP address and basic details such as your phone's operating system and the app version when the app connects. We use this only to deliver TrueVine, keep it secure and fix problems.
- Emails with us: if you write to us, we keep the conversation so we can help you.
We don't collect your location, contacts, photos, browsing history or advertising ID. Choosing which verses and prayers to show you happens on your phone, from your answers and how you use the app. Our servers never see that history.
How we use it
- To run TrueVine for you: sign you in, sync your phones, keep a backup, and send account emails (a welcome, password reset codes and a confirmation if you delete your account). We don't send newsletters or marketing email.
- To give you what your plan includes, and to restore purchases.
- To answer your questions and requests.
- To keep TrueVine secure and working: preventing abuse, fixing bugs and understanding, in total, which parts people use.
- To meet legal obligations.
If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on these legal bases: providing the service you asked for (your account, sync and subscription), our legitimate interest in keeping TrueVine secure and improving it, your consent for phone permissions like notifications and the microphone, and our legal obligations. Because using a Christian app can say something about your faith, which the GDPR treats as sensitive, we process that only with your explicit consent, which you give by creating an account and can withdraw by deleting it.
What we never do
- We never sell or rent your personal information.
- We never share it for advertising. TrueVine has no ads.
- We don't track you across other apps or websites.
- We don't read your journal, prayers or voice notes, and we don't use them to train AI.
Permissions on your phone
TrueVine asks only when a feature needs it, and you can change each one in your phone's settings.
- Notifications: reminders and quiet hours notes are scheduled on your phone. We don't send push notifications from a server.
- Face ID or fingerprint: checked by your phone to unlock TrueVine. We never receive biometric data.
- Microphone: used only while you record a voice note.
How long we keep it
- Account data is kept while your account exists. You can delete any entry, all your data or your whole account at any time.
- When you delete your account, we delete it and everything in it from our database right away. Copies in encrypted backups are overwritten within 30 days.
- Apple, Google and RevenueCat keep records of purchases as billing and tax laws require.
- Emails with us are kept only as long as we need them to help you.
- Data that stays on your phone is there until you delete it in the app or remove the app.
Your choices and rights
- Export: Settings, Privacy, Export my data gives you everything as a file.
- Delete your data: Settings, Privacy, Delete all my data clears your journal, prayers, history and settings and keeps your account.
- Delete your account: Settings, Account, Delete account removes your account and everything in it. You can also ask by email. See Delete your account.
- Notifications and permissions: turn them off anytime in your phone's settings.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or move your information, to object to or limit how we use it, and to withdraw consent. Write to us at hello@rayform.tech and we'll answer within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for asking. If you're in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Data travels encrypted. Your sign-in is kept in your phone's secure storage (the Keychain or Keystore), and our servers only ever give your data to you. You can also lock TrueVine with Face ID or your fingerprint. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects you.
Children
TrueVine isn't made for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Where data is processed
Rayform LLC and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. When information moves across borders, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses where they apply.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Before any important change takes effect, we'll tell you in the app.
